Riding fat bikes in Costa Rica is an amazing way to get to see this country.

After racing three years in the La Ruta stage race across Costa Rica and being part of Team Coreco and the many other wonderful connections I made I have decided to offer my first fat bike tour overseas there this fall where Coreco offers a summer training camp to prep for the La Ruta race.

We will be based at CIRENAS, a nonprofit organization dedicated to social and environmental education, and stay at their brand new, +$1 million campus in the heart of Hacienda Ario. CIRENAS is an amazing program with an operating history of education and impact going back more than a decade.

The rides will take place on trails, dirt roads and beaches around Mal Pais and Santa Teresa with a support vehicle along the pacific coast. A horse tour through the property will get you steeped in the history and fluent in the mission of the people and programs developed out at “The Ranch”.

The trip includes yoga, surf lessons and a horse back ride on Hacienda Ario, a nearly 5,000 acre private working cattle ranch dedicated to sustainable production and community development, is a family-owned, family-run business that has roots in the land going back over 40 years.
